Nike' Parton is a nationally renowned artist has been listed in the "Personalities of the South", "Who's Who in the East" and "Who's Who in Art". Her artwork has been included in permanent collections at the University of Florida, Stetson University and the Encyclopedia Brittanica Educational Corporation. the Sarasota area. A New York native, Parton came to Sarasota, Fl. in the 1950's and found her niche largely in landscape paintings and portraits, along with some glass-work and sculpture. Nature, particularly in the Southwest Florida region, is a common theme in her artwork. She is widely renowned for her numerous solo exhibits and select group shows. Parton was a popular art teacher on Florida’s West Coast.
